Resident Evil 4, 5, 6 Coming To Xbox One And PS4 Beginning March 29 – onmsft.com

Good news for Resident Evil fans: Capcom just announced today that its survival horror classics Resident Evil 4, 5 and 6 are coming soon to Xbox One and PS4. Resident Evil 6 will be released first on March 29, followed by Resident Evil 5 in summer 2016 and Resident Evil 4 in fall 2016. All three games will be available digitally for MSRP $19.99 / €19.99 / £15.99 each, while physical disc versions will also be available in the US.

This announcement follows the release of Resident Evil HD Remaster in January 2015 and Resident Evil 0 HD Remaster (a prequel to the previous game) last month on Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. So, Xbox One players can now enjoy all the latest episodes of the franchise that helped to shape the survival horror game genre, even if these last 3 episodes were probably more focused on epic “Gears-of-War-style” action than pure horror.

Resident Evil games put you in the shoes of recurring characters facing global virus outbreaks that threatens to destroy the world. Fans may remember that the fourth opus was a critically-acclaimed game that successfully breathed new life to the franchise while Resident Evil 5 was the first opus to feature a multiplayer coop mode as well as a much improved gameplay. The sixth game has been the biggest one so far with four interwoven campaigns that can be played in any order, alone or in coop mode.

If you plan to get Resident Evil 6 in March, Capcom is also sharing that the game will include all the additional post-launch content from the console version (DLC and all the costumes originally only available through ResidentEvil.net) in addition to all the story campaigns. Please tell us in the comments if you’re happy to see these games coming on the Xbox One!
