Microsoft has killed it’s Android line up so that they can focus on their Windows Phone range of smartphones. The software giant is said to be working on a number of handsets, including the mid-range Lumia 830 — and a rumored selfie phone. The alleged device has leaked on several occasions in the past few weeks — some were real, some were fake.
Recently, Lumia 830 passed through a Brazilian certification body with a model number RM-985, rumored to be the upcoming Lumia 830. The certification documents are also accompanied by a number of photos, giving us a glimpse of what the device may look like — something we already know.
As per Anatel documents, the purported handset measures 139.4 mm x 70.7 mm x 8.5 mm, making it thinner than a number of Lumia handsets. Additionally, there will be a removable battery and back cover, microSD card slot, and physical navigation buttons which are usually present in most Windows Phone handsets.
Microsoft has scheduled an event on September 4th at IFA 2014 where the company may announce the highly anticipated Lumia 830. In the US, the handset is rumored to launch on AT&T and Verizon in the coming weeks.
