Okami HD rumored for Xbox One release this year

The beautiful and artistic side-scrolling adventure Okami could be getting a facelift for newer consoles. Kotaku UK reports that according to reliable sources, Capcom is working on releasing Okami HD to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One within the year.

The original Okami received over 30 awards with its 2006 release on PlayStation 2. It followed up later with an HD release in 2012 on PS3 but unfortunately was only available as a digital purchase. The ‘leaked’ retail listings on the two source retail sites not only point towards a December 12 release date but confirms a physical copy.

The report does warn that information can sometimes be inaccurate, but the site also has faith in the two sources of similar information. Capcom UK hasn’t made a statement just yet, but that doesn’t mean we won’t sometimes soon. Especially since Gamescom 2017 is just around the corner!
