Lumia 1020

Rumors have been circulating the internet as of late about Nokia’s mysterious 41 megapixel Lumia device. Today, on Microsoft’s Windows Phone manager Joe Belfiore’s Flickr account, the Nokia Lumia 1020 is confirmed to be that mysterious device.

Microsoft’s Joe Belfiore posted several camera shots from various Nokia Lumia devices, powered by Windows Phone, but two of the pictures he took were taken using a Nokia Lumia 1020. One of the photos is listed at 2947×1658 while the other is listed at 1352×1568 (see picture above). Does this mean that the Lumia 1020’s PureView will shoot at different resolutions?

The internet was filled with confusion over the name of the device as well, as some believed it to be the Lumia 1020, while others believed it to be the Nokia 909. Having it called the Lumia 1020 makes perfect sense to us, since it is a big upgrade to the 920/925/928 line of Lumia devices. We will have more on this once Microsoft reveals any details on the device.
