Nokia Lumia Black Update

December 2013 turned out to be an excellent month for Nokia Lumia 1020 users tied to ATT, as they received the latest Nokia Lumia Black update. According to a new report, Nokia China will push the latest Lumia Black update combined with the Windows Phone 8 Update 3 starting next Wednesday. The roll out will begin with the Nokia Lumia 1020 and Nokia Lumia 925, followed by other Windows Phone 8 handsets.

Nokia Lumia Black update made its first official appearance at the Nokia World 2013 held in Abu Dhabi, UAE and debuted with the monstrous Nokia Lumia 1520. In the past, reports mentioned that Nokia will push the Lumia Black update in early 2014, and it seems it’s going to start with China. The folks at WPDang, citing their own sources, reported that the roll out process will start on Wednesday, 8th of January for the Lumia 1020 and Lumia 925, followed by other WP8 devices running GDR2.

The latest Nokia Lumia Black update comes with several new features and enhancements, including screen orientation lock, glance screen, custom ringtones for various applications such as email, messaging, and more. The latest update also introduces Nokia Camera application with RAW images support that gives users to capture untouched images in PNG format — it should come as one of the best features for photography enthusiasts.

Other features include driving mode that restricts notifications while driving, improved WiFi and Bluetooth sharing, Bluetooth 4.0 LE,  enriched camera performance, improved storage management, and more.

There’s no official confirmation from Nokia or Microsoft about the roll out, but we’ll make sure you know as soon as it arrives.
