Nokia has officially announced the TD-LTE compatible Nokia Lumia 636/638, destined to reach China in the coming weeks. The Nokia Lumia 638 is headed to China Mobile, while the Lumia 636 will land on China Unicom. It’s a variant of the Nokia Lumia 630, but with compatibility for Chinese networks, and packs almost a similar set of hardware, except the RAM — it comes with 1GB while the Lumia 630/635 comes with just 512MB.
Both devices come with Windows Phone 8.1 as its operating system, with a 4.5-inch display sporting a resolution of 854 x 400 pixels. On the storage side, it features 8GB of internal memory with a microSD card slot for expansion, as well as a 5MP shooter for photos and videos. There’s a 1,830 mAh battery to make sure you never run out of juice, and even support international LTE for roaming purposes too.
Nokia Lumia 638 will go on sale on June 21st through all retail channels, with a 1,299 yuan price tag (almost $208), and will be up on display at the Mobile Asia Expo in Shanghai for those who want to take a look at it. As for the Lumia 636, customers will be able to purchase from July 5th with a similar price tag.
