Nokia Lumia 620

A majority of Lumia devices have received the Lumia Black blessing, but there still are a few carriers in the wild who haven’t pushed the update yet in Canada. The Lumia 620 is yet to receive the latest software update, but it seems the wait might be over for Telus users. Reports suggest the Nokia Lumia 620 on Telus is receiving the latest Windows Phone 8 GDR3 and Lumia Black update as we speak. However, Nokia is yet to update its software update page, but you may want to hit the software update button on your device to see if it’s available for you.

For those of you who can’t recall, the Nokia Lumia Black update brings several new features on board, including screen orientation lock, custom ringtones for apps, several Nokia-specific apps such as Beamer, Storyteller, etc., improved storage management, a driving mode to restrict notifications while you’re on the road, improved app switcher, glance screen, double tap to wake, along with a bunch of other features and enhancements. Do keep in mind that all the features may not work on the Nokia Lumia 620 due to hardware limitations.

So, if you’re rocking a Lumia 620, head over to Settings > Phone Update and see if its available for your device. Let us know in the comments below if you’ve received the update.
