We are only days away from the launch of the latest Nokia devices. The Finnish hardware maker plans to push both a tablet and a new smartphone, the latter of which falls into the grey area that resides somewhere between the phone and tablet market. The Lumia 1520 is of a category that has come to be known as the ‘phablet’. While the device itself is not yet on the market, at least part of the internals are.
The $540 device will be out on November 22nd. But, the ringtone pack is already available for download. The file, which weighs in at 20 MB, contains a number of ringtones, some of which you have heard before if you have previously used a Lumia device. However, don’t despair, because the company has also included a few new ones, some which have been used in its TV ads.
Ringtones may not be overly exciting, but the new handset has generated a bit of hype. It was recently reported that one lucky customer in North Carolina was able to walk into an AT&T store and purchase the device. Images of the packaging and receipt seemed to corroborate the story, though nothing can be taken for granted since the introduction of Photoshop.
