A new trailer for Halo 5: Guardians has leaked on the web which was originally captured in a US movie theater. The bootleg capture of the trailer was posted on a Reddit and spotted by Neowin.
The trailer is made up of interviews with Halo 5’s production team members speaking about the upcoming installment. They focus on not just features like cooperative play but also speaking to the drama of the story. At one point the staff highlights the tension between Master Chief and Spartan Locke, as well as the family dynamics of Blue Team and Fireteam Osiris. The main message of the trailer is that the game has great action and adventure, but also a more personal story; one that is not black and white story with simple good guys and bad guys.
In all, nothing really new is revealed during the trailer. There are few very brief glimpses of cinematic cut scenes featuring the game’s main characters, albeit through bootleg footage that was probably grabbed impromptu with a smartphone.
Halo 5: Guardians is set to release on October 27th and is available now for pre-order.
