Yesterday, Microsoft rolled out a firmware update for the Surface Book and Surface Pro 4. Unfortunately, an official changelog was not made available at the time. Now, Microsoft has uploaded a changelog, indicating what’s new in this July 2016 firmware update.
For those wondering, this update prepares your Surface Pen for the improvements made with the Windows 10 Anniversary Update. On top of that, this firmware update adds stability and performance improvements. Check out the official changelog below:
- Microsoft driver update for Surface System Aggregator Firmware: improves the stability of the keyboard when the device resumes from hibernation or connected standby mode.
- Microsoft driver update for Surface Touch: increases overall stability and addresses issues in touch, pen ink, and barrel button eraser scenarios.
- Intel Corporation driver update for Intel(R) HD Graphics 520: improves system performance in some applications.
- Microsoft driver update for Surface Pen Settings: improves the stability of the pen settings and prepares for the Windows 10 Anniversary Update.
- Intel Corporation driver update for Intel(R) Smart Sound Technology (Intel(R) SST) Audio Controller: improves audio stability.
