Besides claiming to have better battery life than Google Chrome, Microsoft boasted on Twitter another way that Edge is better than Chrome; security.
Don’t take chances. Protect yourself online. Use the browser that’s safer than Google Chrome. https://t.co/mhFCRakI5o pic.twitter.com/4vHitV9pPv

Citing NSS Labs Inc’s report on the browser security, Microsoft Edge beats out Chrome and Firefox handily in browser security tests.
“Microsoft Edge provided the highest SEM protection in the test, blocking as much as 99.0% of SEM and matching several endpoint protection (EPP) products that have been tested by NSS for SEM protection.”
Chrome still beats out Edge when it comes to extensions, but Edge is less of a RAM hog than Chrome. Still, Microsoft has more work to do if Edge is going to beat out the competition. Personally, Edge might be better off not comparing itself to its competitors just yet, rather it should focus on current capabilities.
