If Minecraft gamers have been able to enjoy cross-play multiplayer for years, the dungeon crawler Minecraft Dungeons has shipped earlier this year without this core feature. That’s now fixed with the latest game update now available on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.

To enable cross-play on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, you’ll need to make sure that your Nintendo and PlayStation accounts are linked to a Microsoft account, and you can learn more about how to proceed on this support page. Cross-play is enabled by default on all platforms except PlayStation 4 where it can be disabled within Game Settings.

Another important thing the Minecraft team announced today is the upcoming availability of cross-saves, which will allow players to start playing Minecraft Dungeons on one platform and pick up where they left off on another one. “While we don’t have a launch date set for this feature, our team is hard at work and very excited to bring it to life in an upcoming free update,” the Minecraft team said today.

Minecraft Dungeons is free to play with Xbox Game Pass for Console and PC, but it’s also available to purchase for $20 on all platforms. If you’re an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscriber, you can also play the game on your Android phone using touch controls or a Bluetooth-enabled Xbox Wireless controller.
