Microsoft’s Xbox app updates on Android and iOS devices with new profile improvements – onmsft.com

The main Xbox app updated for Android smartphones and tablets today in addition to Apple’s iPhones and iPads.

Both updates are pretty much identical and bring a variety of enhancements to user profiles and Xbox Achievement searching. It should be noted though that while the app updates are live, the added functionality isn’t live yet in all regions (at least not here in Australia) so these new features may take a day or two to show some users.

Here’s the full release notes:

  • New profile updates! You can now tap on the friend and follower buttons to review the full list of users, profile themes are now viewable, and the ‘Where I Play’ section has been added to the About tab.
  • Find your achievements fast with new filter and sort options on the games list.
  • Some people will start seeing industry news and updates with the new “Gaming news” channel on home.

Do you use the Xbox app on your smart device? Let us know what you would add in a future update in the comments below and then follow us on Pinterest and Twitter for more Xbox updates.
