Microsoft’s Countdown sale starts today, save big on select games, apps, more

Microsoft has just kicked off its Xbox Countdown sale today, which it previously teased this week as its “biggest sale ever.” For 19 days, you will be able to take advantage of cool discounts on Xbox games, apps, movies and TV shows, though be aware that some of the the discounts have been previously available on Black Friday.

Furthermore, Xbox One owners will be able to enjoy daily deals each day: the first game to be selected is Life is Strange, which complete season can be purchased today for just $6.60 (or $5 for Xbox Live Gold subscribers). A lot of AAA games are also being discounted starting today and we’ve highlighted the most interesting items below.

Xbox Play Anywhere games

  • Recore ($19.99)
  • Gears of War 4 ($32.99)
  • Forza Horizon 3 Standard Edition ($38.99)
  • Everspace ($23.99)

Xbox One Games

  • Battlefield 1 ($44.99 / $38.99 with Xbox Live Gold)
  • Titanfall 2 ($35.99 / $30 with Xbox Live Gold)
  • Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare – Launch Edition ($44.99 / 38.99 with Xbox Live Gold)
  • Final Fantasy XV ($50.99 / $44.99 with Xbox Live Gold)
  • Dishonored 2 ($44.99 / $40.19 with Xbox Live Gold)
  • Deus Ex: Mankind Divided ($35.99 / $30 with Xbox Live Gold)
  • Destiny – The Collection ($29.24 / $26.12 with Xbox Live Gold)

 

Xbox 360 games

  • Call of Duty: Black Ops III ($24.99 / $19.99 with Xbox Live Gold)
  • Red Dead Redemption ($17.99 / $14.99 with Xbox Live Gold)
  • Destiny: The Taken King – Legendary Edition ($20.99 / $17.99 with Xbox Live Gold)

  • Photo Editor Pro ($5.99)

You can get the full list of discounted games on the Xbox website or the Xbox Store on your console. Be aware that these first discounts will only be available through December 28, after that a second wave of discounts will be available for a week starting December 29.

The Windows Store is also offering discount on select albums, movies and TV shows starting today and you can check the full list on your Windows device or on this dedicated page. As a reminder, Microsoft also unveiled various holiday-themed collections of music, movies, TV shows and apps in the Windows Store earlier this week.
