Microsoft has added a new feature to its Microsoft 365 roadmap. The feature, titled “Click-to-Chat with Teams App Publishers” in Microsoft Teams, is aimed at simplifying communication between users and third-party app publishers.

This addition, identified by Feature ID 182034, was added to the roadmap on October 23, 2023. The feature is exclusive to Microsoft Teams and will be available in the following cloud instances: GCC High, Worldwide (Standard Multi-Tenant), GCC, and DoD.

Accessible via the web platform, the “Click-to-Chat with Teams App Publishers” feature is now in the General Availability release phase. It is set to commence rollout in November 2023.

This feature facilitates private Teams chat conversations between users and third-party app publishers, allowing for direct inquiries on matters such as pricing, compliance, and other considerations related to app deployment and purchase.

Microsoft has been releasing a lot of Teams updates via the Roadmap lately; this one was announced last.
