Microsoft is looking to completely transform how creators interact with their own ideas with the new Surface Studio coming to us on December 15, 2016. The 28″ diagonal touch screen is a fully bodied aluminum desktop held up with zero-gravity hinge and adjustable chrome arms that fade into the background. The display is as thin as 12.5 with the tiniest 1.3 mm LCD screen.
As Panos said during the announcement, “It’s going to look similar, but it’s going to feel different.”

The Surface Studio is created to be immersive with 13.5 million pixels in True Color. As a vibrant display that is unmatched as of yet, the user can switch between DCI-P3 to SRGB on the fly to compare images and video to those of 99% of the world’s population.
Even more impressive is the 3:2 aspect ration with 192 PPI that brings a True Scale 1-inch to 1-inch experience for creators. For $2,999 USD, the cheapest Surface Studio comes with a 6th Gen Intel Core i5, 1TB SSD, and 8GB RAM packed into a small box of creative power. Upgrades include a 16GB RAM with i7 processor for $3,499 and a 2TB hard drive with 32 GB RAM for $4,199.
You can preorder the Surface Book on the Microsoft Store just in time for the holiday season.
