Microsoft Store offers free sleeve or case with purchase of Surface 2 or Surface 2 LTE

Microsoft has launched a new promotion offering up a free sleeve (also called a case) with purchase of a brand new Surface 2 or Surface 2 LTE device. Head over to your local Microsoft retail store and snag a $50 sleeve for free with purchase of Microsoft’s latest Windows RT 8.1 powered tablet.

“Show off your unique personality with a free sleeve or case (valued up to $49.99) when you buy a Surface 2 or Surface 2 LTE at your local Microsoft retail store,” Microsoft stated. The Nixon Surface Sleeve protects your Surface device from nicks and dings. The slim and sturdy case also features an exterior pocket for additional accessory storage. The sleeve also features a durable 1680D nylon outer shell and an interior constructed of high-density foam padding with dura-plush lining. The sleeve also comes with a stabilizer strap handle so you can easily carry it around.

The Surface 2 runs Windows RT 8.1 and comes pre-installed with Office 2013 RT, giving you Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote right out of the box. The device is 1.5 pounds in weight and just 8.9mm thick. The device starts at $449.

The sleeve is available in oxblood red or steel blue. This promotion is valid now and ends May 12th, 2014. See below for a quick video showcase of the sleeve.
