After Microsoft released Halo: Combat Evolved as part of Halo: The Master Chief Collection on PC last month, developer 343 Industries is about to follow up soon with Halo 2: Anniversary. John Junyszek, Halo Community Manager at 343 Industries announced on Twitter that the first Halo 2 beta on PC will be available for select Halo Insiders starting today.

If you’re already a member of the Halo Insider program and have signed up for PC flighting, you’ll get an email to notify you that you’ve been invited to this first flight, which will use Steam instead of the Xbox Insider Hub. This first beta will include the Cairo Station, Metropolis, The Oracle, Delta Halo, Quarantine Zone, and Gravemind campaign missions, as well as various maps and playlists for multiplayer. You can learn more about what’s included on this flight in 343 Industries’ March Development update.

Even though the coronavirus pandemic is also affecting 343 Industries and the partner studios working on these Halo PC ports, the developer is still committed to delivering the rest of the Halo: MCC games to PC gamers throughout the rest of the year. 343 Industries is also working on parallel on Halo: Infinite, the next Halo game which will be a launch title for Xbox Series X this holiday season.
