Well, have a look at this: the Skype team has added some nifty new Mojis and emoticons to our favorite communications client. We’ve been happily sending Mojis to each other since the video snippets were added to Skype a few weeks back, and it seems like the Skype team wasn’t nearly done.
Here’s a list of what’s new, via the Skype blog:
New films: Three awesome additions – Pitch Perfect 2, Furious 7 and 40-Year-Old Virgin
New clips: New additions to the existing Muppet, BBC and Universal Studios content
New studio: We’ve added a new movie studio to the Skype Moji family! Check them out under the Hollywood tab.
New tabs: Go ahead, pick favorites! The most in-demand Mojis of the moment will be featured in a new “Popular” tab. We’re putting new content in a new “Featured” tab so it’s easier to discover.
Microsoft was also kind enough to offer up some assistance in using the Mojis, not that it’s terribly difficult.
Some new emoticons have also been added, including a few in anticipation of Halloween later this month. If you want new ways to express yourself, make sure you’re on the latest version of the app on your favorite platform, and let Microsoft know what you think about all of this new content.
