Microsoft has released a new round of firmware updates for its Surface Pro 6 devices yesterday. The new bits bring improvements for graphics and overall system stability, as well as security updates for the 2-in-1 tablets. You can find the full details below:

  • Intel(R) HD Graphics – Display adapters: 27.20.100.8681 Improves graphics and system stability.
  • Intel® Display Graphics Adapter Driver Extension: 27.20.100.8681 Addresses security updates and improves system stability.
  • Intel(R) ICLS Client – Extension: 1952.14.0.1470 Addresses security updates and improves system stability.
  • Intel(R) ICLS Client – Software devices: 1.62.321.1 Addresses security updates and improves system stability.
  • Intel(R) Management Engine Interface – System devices: 2040.100.0.1029 Addresses security updates and improves system stability.
  • Surface ME – Firmware: 11.8.82.3838 Addresses security updates and improves system stability

As usual, these updates are rolling out gradually to all Surface Pro 6 owners running Windows 10 version 1903 or newer. Considering that Microsoft is no longer supporting version 1903, most devices should be running a newer version of the OS. However, if you’re still running an outdated version for some reason, it is best to upgrade to a supported version. In case you missed it, Microsoft has also released new firmware updates for its Surface Book 2 and Surface Studio 2 devices recently.
