Microsoft has started rolling out new firmware updates for its Intel-powered Surface Laptop 4 and Surface Studio devices. This batch doesn’t bring any new features but includes bug fixes and improvements to overall system stability.

For Surface Laptop 4 owners, the November 2021 firmware updates are available for PCs running Windows 10 version 20H2 or newer. These bits aim to enhance the Surface Dock 2 connection stability and you can check out the full list of changes below:

  • Surface – Firmware – 10.300.141.0 : Surface UEFI – Firmware
  • Surface -Firmware – 6.203.139.0: Surface System Aggregator – Firmware
  • Surface – Firmware – 14.1.0.0: Surface PD Controller – Firmware
  • Surface – System – 9.54.139.0: Surface – System – 9.54.139.0
  • Surface – Firmware – 6.7.137.0: Surface Dock 2 Firmware Update – Firmware

The first-generation Surface Studio is also getting new firmware updates that should improve graphics performance and stability, and here’s what you can expect to see in Windows Update:

  • NVIDIA – Display – 27.21.14.6296: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 965M – Display adapters
  • NVIDIA – Display – 27.21.14.6296: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980M – Display adapters

As always, these firmware updates are gradually rolling out to all Surface devices, so don’t be surprised if it doesn’t show up right away. Last week, Microsoft also released new updates for the Surface Pro X models with SQ1 and SQ2 processors.
