Halo: The Master Chief Collection gets a new update, improves matchmaking, custom games, and more

A new content update was released today to fix a variety of issues in Halo: The Master Chief Collection on Xbox One. This content update fixes bugs in matchmaking, parties, custom games, achievements, stability, and other miscellaneous in-game bug fixes. A majority of the content update deals with a variety of matchmaking and party connection issues that have plagued The Master Chief Collection since its release.

The content update also ensures that 4 Xbox One achievements, “Too Close to the Sun,” “Monopolized,” “Devastating,” and “You’re Joking,” are unlocked when their prerequisites are met. A few minor stability improvements are also included for matchmaking, custom games, and the Halo 4 Campaign. Microsoft is working to continually update and improve Halo: The Master Chief Collection which was released with a large amount of bugs at the very beginning.

A few other general in-game bug fixes are also included. It looks like Microsoft is focusing on improving Halo: The Master Chief Collection so it can really perform the way it was meant to on Xbox One. The content update is a little over 1 GB, so hopefully it will fix the issues that gamers have complained about for the last month. For a full list of bug fixes included in the content update, head over to Halo Waypoint for the long, detailed list via the link posted below.
