Microsoft Lumia 550 has a new firmware update available via Device Recovery Tool

The Microsoft Lumia 550 is a low-end Windows 10 Mobile handset from Microsoft that’s actually pretty good. I reviewed one recently and enjoyed my time with the device immensely, so it’s good to see Microsoft continue to refine and improve the overall experience of Windows 10 Mobile on the Lumia 550, with updates and firmware.

If you’re someone who needs the latest firmware on your device, Microsoft has a new firmware update waiting for you via the Windows Device Recovery Tool. It doesn’t look like the update is rolling out over the air just yet, so if you’d rather not reflash your handset I suggest you wait for Microsoft to issue an official rollout.

It’s currently unknown what improvements this latest firmware update includes, we assume it’ll be mostly bug fixes. But until Microsoft begin the over-the-air rollout, we’ll just have to wait and see. Are you going to be updating your 550? Let us know below!
