Microsoft Germany has been at the European Police Congress in Berlin, showing off some of the latest innovations and technologies for police. In a somewhat surprising stunt, Microsoft pulled Windows 10 Mobile out of its pocket, together with Mercedes-Benz.
During the event, Microsoft presented Windows 10 Mobile’s Continuum in a Mercedes-Benz E-Class Police Edition, running HybridForms. The setup used a Lumia 950 XL docked into the car to utilise the in-car infotainment system as a display and turn it into a full PC experience. This allows police to use the apps that they need to do their important jobs, such as HybridForms.
With this setup, it required no extra devices, making it simplistic yet advanced in a form factor that was perfectly suited to the car environment.
