Microsoft released the stable version of Microsoft Edge on Windows 10 and macOS back in January this year, but Linux users are still waiting to get their hands on the new Chromium-based browser. The Redmond giant officially confirmed that Edge web browser will be coming to the Linux operating system at Ignite 2019, but the company didn’t provide an update during the day 1 of its Build 2020 developer conference yesterday.
However, some eagle-eyed users saw yesterday that Microsoft quietly teasing an unreleased version of Microsoft Edge for Linux during the digital event (via Windows Central). The screenshot published Twitter user Zhuowen Cui clearly shows what appears the Linux flavor of Microsoft Edge.

It’s been quite a while since the Linux version of Microsoft Edge has been listed as “coming soon,” but the company has yet to provide a firm ETA for its release. In the meantime, Microsoft announced a plethora of new features coming to the new Microsoft Edge browser yesterday, including contextual search, a Pinterest integration, and much more.
