With Windows 10 due to be released later in the year, the Windows Phone update scene has cooled off significantly. Updates like Denim and Cyan, now complete in their respective rollouts (give or take a few exceptions) expanded the feature set of Windows Phone considerably, however there is still one last hurrah yet to come.

Windows Phone 8.1 Update 2 is due to hit devices soon, and Microsoft has announced at a QnA session at the UK launch event for the Lumia 640 and 640XL that the update will definitely be coming to the Lumia 735 and 830. Currently, the only devices known to be running the new software, which brings bluetooth keyboard functionality among other things, are the 640 and 640 XL.

What priority will be afforded to this release by Microsoft is something that only time will tell, and as usual, what carriers will have planned is functionally unknowable.

What feature are you most excited for in the new update? Let us know in the comments below.
