Today marks #GivingTuesday, a global movement to help others through the gift of your time, donations, goods or your voice, fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. To celebrate the occasion, Microsoft is matching youth-serving nonprofit MS Rewards points donations through December 31.

Word on Microsoft’s matching of donations was spread on the Giving Tuesday blog in a post penned by Microsoft Vice President, Laura Clayton McDonnell. She explains that Microsoft has stood with the movement since 2012, and will be matching MS rewards points donations for youth-serving nonprofits to help the generosity go even further.

If you are in the U.S., simply select Boys & Girls Clubs of America, City Year, Code.org, FIRST or Teach for America, and we’ll double your impact through December 31 – details. Not a Microsoft Rewards member? We’ll give you a free $1 to donate. If you are in the U.K., we’ll double your impact through November 30 when you donate your points to Special Olympics, UK Youth, and AbilityNet.

The Microsoft Store will also be recognizing the commitment by 92Y, Boys and Girls Clubs of America and City Year by contributing grants and Microsoft products to these organizations. The company also invites people to visit the Microsoft Wish Machine at any Microsoft Store and share inspiring wishes through December 31 for the chance for a selection of wishes to come true.

Microsoft Philanthropies donated more than $1.2 billion in software and services to nonprofits last year, and every bit counts. Consider doing your part, too, as your gift and donation only helps build a better future for everyone.
