March Patch Tuesday updates are now available for Windows 10 version 1909 and older, here’s what’s new

Microsoft has just released new “Patch Tuesday” updates for all supported versions of Windows 10. As this has been the case since the release of the version 1909 in November, the release notes for the version 1909 and 1903 of the OS are similar. This is because the two versions of the OS share the same core, with the version 1909 being more like a Service Pack for version 1903 instead of a true feature update.

Anyway, if you’re already running Windows 10 version 1909 on your PC, you can now install the build 18363.719, while users still on version 1903 can install the build 18362.719. Both updates bring the same following fixes:

  • Updates to improve security when using Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer.
  • Updates for verifying user names and passwords.
  • Updates to improve security when using external devices (such as game controllers, printers, and web cameras).

The older version 1809 of Windows 10, which will reach end of support for Home and Pro users on May 12, is also being updated today with the build 17763.1098. Here are all the fixes included in this update.

  • Updates to improve security when using Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer.
  • Updates for verifying user names and passwords.
  • Updates to improve security when Windows performs basic operations.
  • Updates for storing and managing files.
  • Updates to improve security when using external devices (such as game controllers, printers, and web cameras).

New updates are also available today for Windows 10 versions 1803, 1709, 1703, though only for WinEducation and Enterprise users. We invite you to check out the release notes on Microsoft’s support website for more details about these updates.
