Kazam introduces two new Windows Phone handsets ahead of the Mobile World Congress 2015

Mobile World Congress 2015 is just a few days away, and it’s not surprising to see many companies unveiling their products ahead of the big show. Among those companies is Kazam, a Europe-based manufacturer, who introduced two new Windows Phone handsets — Thunder 450 W and Thunder 450WL — boasting a decent set of specifications.

Michael Coombes, KAZAM CEO said,

“As a dedicated European mobile brand, KAZAM has responded to the demand for choice at every level. Today’s announcement further demonstrates our commitment to the market, innovating in areas often overlooked.”

The newly announced smartphones will be a part of the company’s Thunder line up, and will feature a flaunting 5-inch display with a resolution of 1280 by 720 pixels, as well as Windows Phone 8.1 as its operating system out of the box. The differences between Thunder 450W and 450WL aren’t too significant with the major one being the processor and 4G LTE connectivity on the Thunder 450WL.

The Thunder 450W comes with a Snapdragon 200 processor clocked at 1.2GHz while the Thunder 450WL ships with a Snapdragon 410 processor. Both devices ship with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage coupled with a microSD card slot if you need more storage (it supports microSD cards of up to 32GB), an 8MP rear shooter for photos and videos, 2MP front-facing camera and a 2,200 mAh battery to make sure you never run out of juice at important times. Furthermore, the Thunder 450W comes with dual-SIM support while its elder sibling comes with single-SIM support.

There’s no word about the exact availability or pricing, but the company did mention the handsets will hit retail across Europe — details about in-store availability will be announced at a later date, possibly next week at the Mobile World Congress 2015. For those of you who will be in Barcelona, you can try out the devices at the mega event.
