iOS business users see the results of the SkyDrive rebranding

The switch in name from SkyDrive to OneDrive is gradually taking place. iOS users who have been using SkyDrive Pro will find that the app has transformed into OneDrive for Business 1.2. This is different to the main OneDrive app, and it is only available to users with a qualifying Office 365 subscription, such as a Business, governmental or SharePoint subscription.

On the face of it, this is little more than a change of name in keeping with the changes that are going on elsewhere, but there are a few tweaks under the hood as well.

Cosmetically, icons have been redesigned and the toolbar layout adjusted, but perhaps the most notable change for businesses is added support for on-premises authentication configurations/

Here’s that all-important changelog:

  • Support for additional types of authentication
  • Improved login experience
  • Numerous bug fixes and UI optimizations

There have also been changes to bring the app in line with the look of iOS 7. Grab yourself a copy from the download link below.
