Following HP’s unveil of its all-new Pro x2 612 G2 2-in-1 convertible at MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2017, the company also unveiled some new goodies for its HP Elite x3 Windows 10 Mobile device.
The first of the new accessories are to assist those using the HP Elite x3 in a commercial and business environment:
- HP Elite x3 Mobile Scanning Solution
- HP Elite x3 Mobile Retail Solution
These devices can be used to scan barcodes in retail environments while on-the-go to check prices and view inventory information, and then dock into a full PC experience later on to seamlessly continue the task at hand in the back office.
On these 2 accessories, HP had this to say:
Building on the innovation of the Elite x3 launched at last year’s Mobile World Congress, these solutions extend the benefits of the x3 platform beyond the mobile professional to mobilize vertical workflows for healthcare, field and retail workers.
In addition to the above innovative accessories for a mobile device, HP is also releasing 2 other accessories for its Elite x3 device:
- HP Elite USB-C Dock
- HP USB-C Travel Hub
The USB-C Dock will allow multiple displays and devices to be connected to it while still charging the Elite x3, whereas the USB-C Travel Hub provides additional ports while on-the-go through the use of pass-through connectivity for displays and USB devices, providing charging capabilities at the same time, all through just 1 USB-C cable.
Take a look at some images of the new accessories available for the HP Elite x3:
Both the HP Elite x3 Mobile Scanning Solution and HP Elite x3 Mobile Retail Solution are available now, starting at $329 and $999 respectively. The HP Elite x3 Mobile Retail Solution is available as a bundle with the HP Elite x3 device.
The HP Elite USB-C Dock is expected to be available in March, starting at $149, whereas the HP USB-C Travel Hub is available now at $49.
