Three more games are joining the free games catalog this month for consoles, as well as two for those on PC, for subscribers of Xbox Game Pass. The three games will be among the first games joining the subscription catalog for consoles in 2020, only after Grand Theft Auto V just last week.
This Thursday, January 9, will see two games join Game Pass for consoles—Frostpunk: Console Edition and Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet. The first title is a survival game that tasks the player with building and ruling upon one of the last civilizations after a near-apocalyptic events left the earth in a constant icy winter. This game is especially interesting given that it was released only a few months ago on Xbox One. Additionally, the PC version of the game will also join Game Pass for PC, for those with the standalone subscription of get it though Game Pass Ultimate.
Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet is another potentially great title to try for Xbox One. The game takes place during the second season of the popular anime series, and allows players to play in the fictional VRMMO world of Gun Gale Online.
Lastly, joining January 16 is Tekken 7, a popular fighting game for Xbox One from Bandai Namco, which follows the events after the sixth game of the series and adds new items, costumes, characters, and improved graphics. The game is also up to 70% off right now, putting it at just $14.99 if you’d like to buy the game and keep it without the need for Game Pass.
In addition to Frostpunk joining the Game Pass library for PC this month, subscribers will also be able to play FTL: Faster than Light, a top-down real-time strategy sci-fi game from Subset Games on their gaming systems.
