Halo Nightfall set to be released March 17th in Europe

Halo Nightfall, the five-episode Xbox Live series that aired between November and December on Xbox One and Xbox 360 is set for a March 17th, 2015 release date. That’s the news for Europe anyway; no concrete release date was announced for North America. Halo Nightfall follows events that take place between Halo 4 and Halo 5 Guardians.

Microsoft released a new trailer ahead of the Halo Nightfall’s official release, and noted that Nightfall will also be available on “digital channels,” like Xbox Video and iTunes. According to Microsoft, Halo Nightfall tells the story of Jameson Locke, “a legendary manhunter and agent of the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI), Earth’s most powerful and secretive military branch.”

Those that have watched all five episodes of Halo Nightfall know how Locke changes the Halo story between Halo 4 and 5. Without giving too much away, Locke will likely play a new key role in Halo 5 Guardians. Check out the new trailer of Halo Nightfall below.
