Windows new companion travel app tripwolf receives a significant update

Get a free travel guide with tripwolf's summer update

The travel companion app tripwolf recently made its way to Windows and Windows Phone, and now it’s receiving an update in time for users who are primmed for making summer plans (as noted by a Microsoft blog). The update is pretty significant, including travel content from Fodor’s for upwards of 500 locations. There are a few other improvements, like better details in offline maps and a speed boost in load times.

Best of all, users of Microsoft’s platforms get an extra perk: a free premium travel guide. The free premium includes destinations such as Barcelona, Vienna, Rome, Berlin, Hong Kong, Chicago, and Zurich – to name just a few.  Once you choose your city, you’ll find information sections for attractions, tours, shopping, and the like.  It’s a nice starting point for making travel plans, and has the ability to collect them all under one convenient roof.

Are you planning on going anywhere special this season?  Feel free to share, and if you plan on taking advantage of tripwolf!
