Call of Duty has released its newest DLC for XBox One today. Call of Duty: Black Ops III – Eclipse is the second DLC made available, following up on the Awakening released only two months ago. With the extremely successful release of Call of Duty: Black Ops III netting $550 million last fall, it’s no surprise that the franchise continues to build onto the game with more and more DLC.
The news comes via Major Nelson’s Twitter feed:

The Eclipse store page describes the DLC as:
In the latest episode of the Zombies experience, the Origins characters head to ‘Zetsubou No Shima’, a tropical island where experiments with Element 115 have created horrors beyond belief. Battle your way through four stunning Black Ops III Multiplayer environments: Spire, Knockout, Verge and Rift.
Spire: Take MP combat to a futuristic sub-orbital airport terminal set high in the clouds.
Knockout: The Shaolin Temple with a retro twist contrasts exterior mid-range engagements and interior close quarters.
Verge: This reimagined classic Call of Duty: World at War map, Banzai, drops MP combat into the center of a distant post-apocalyptic future.
Rift: Head to the core of a harsh futuristic military complex, set above an active volcano.
Players can either buy it from the store for $14.99 or spend $49.99 for the Season Pass which includes both DLC and bonus maps. For those that haven’t bought the original Call of Duty: Black Ops III yet, it might be more profitable to spring for the Digital Deluxe Edition with a plethora of extra content, both DLCs, and collector’s packs.
