German manufacturer TrekStor showcases its first Windows Phone handset

TrekStor, the popular German manufacturer best known for its portable storage products and audio devices, is now foraying into the smartphone segment. At the IFA event, the company unveiled an affordable Windows Phone handset.

The phone’s manufactured by JSR Technology, which has used its ‘17B’ reference design on the handset. You may remember the same design from XOLO Win Q900s, and the Yezz Billy 4.7.

The handset sports a 4.7-inch display with 1280 x 720 screen resolution. It is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor, and 1GB of RAM with 8GB of internal storage. There is an 8-megapixel rear camera, and 2-megapixel shooter upfront. The device seems to be running on Windows Phone 8.1. It is dual-SIM capable.

The handset is expected to be priced between €120-€150 EUR ($155-$195 USD). The company hasn’t decided what it’s going to call this device, and when it will release it.
