It’s been more than 2 years since Bungie first gave us a glimpse of what will be Destiny 2’s final expansion: Lightfall. With today’s reveal at Gamescom 2022, we now know that the final battle in Destiny 2’s light vs. dark saga will begin on February 28 next year.

Lightfall will take place on the new cyberpunk city of Neomuna, capital of the planet Neptune. The futuristic, dystopian city is something new to the Destiny universe, to be sure. We were (finally!) treated to the official trailer today.

Our end begins.

Let’s not forget that a new Destiny 2 season, Season of Plunder, starts today also. With it comes Arc 3.0, which is the final rework of class abilities. Also, the new season will see crossovers with both Fortnite and Fall Guys. Also, Destiny 2 arrives on the Epic Games Store today.

Needless to say, it is a huge, huge day for Destiny 2 fans. Check back in right here for more on Destiny 2: Lightfall as more details are made available.
