Total Conquest

Gameloft is one of the biggest game developers and publishes on various mobile platforms. Titles include games like Asphalt, Assassin’s Creed, Minion Rush, and more. The list of popular games can go on and on, but let’s just skip the counting part and come to the point. If you’re a fan of strategy games, it’s high time you check out the studio’s latest offering — Total Conquest. The game is already available on iOS and Android, and received some decent reviews.  Now, the title is available for download in the Windows Phone Store as well as Windows 8 and 8.1, and it won’t even cost you a penny — it’s free.

“Total Conquest is an exciting and strategic social game where you are a Roman governor developing your own city-state and army. But with Caesar dead, there’s no more playing games: You’ll need to join a powerful Legion — or forge your own — to defeat your enemies, protect your lands, and reign supreme,” the app description reads.

The game revolves around a Roman Governor (you) whose task is to create a base, train your army and defend your city by deploying solid defenses such as towers, traps, walls, gates and garrisoned units. Total Conquest features a campaign mode so you will know about the gameplay before you take on the “enemies” from different parts of the world in the multiplayer mode.

Additionally, you can also join legions, or what many of you may call groups or clans, and fight group battles. Upon winning Legion battles, you will increase the ranking of your Legion and earn great rewards for your efforts.

It’s pretty good to see developers focusing on the Windows Phone operating system as well. Many popular games and applications are making their way to the mobile platform. This isn’t the only good news, last we heard, Windows Phone 8 saw a bump in the OS market share, especially in Europe (including Britain, France, Germany, Italy and Spain) where it’s reported to have ten-percent share, based on the data from Kantar Worldpanel.

Just hit the Windows Phone Store below to download Total Conquest for your handset or  Windows 8 device. The game is sized at 186.6 MB for Windows 8, while the Windows Phone version weighs 158 MB. The game also support multiple languages, including English, Chinese, German, Spanish, Japanese, French, Russian, Italian, Korean, Portuguese and Turkish.
