Microsoft has just announced four new additions to the Xbox Game Pass catalog in July. Two new games are playable starting today, the fighting game Soulcalibur VI on console, along with the baseball strategy title Out of the Park Baseball 21.
Two other games will follow next week on July 9, with the headliner being Bethesda’s Fallout 76. While this online version of Fallout received poor reviews at launch, the game is still supported and recently received the free Wastelanders expansion. The good news is that Fallout 76 will be available on both Xbox Game Pass for Console and PC, making it the first Fallout game to join the PC catalog.
The last game coming to Xbox Game Pass for Console on July 9 is CrossCode (already available on Xbox Game Pass for PC), which the Xbox team described as “A retro action RPG set in the distant future in the veins of Secret of Mana and Zelda.” While these four new games represent an exciting update for Xbox Game Pass, the six following titles will also leave the catalog on July 15:
- Blazing Chrome (Console & PC)
- Dead Rising 4 (Console & PC)
- Timespinner (Console & PC)
- Metal Gear Solid V (Console)
- Unavowed (PC)
- Undertale (PC)
It’s now been three years since Microsoft launched Xbox Game Pass for Console, and the PC version followed last year though it remains in beta. Microsoft is expected to integrate Xbox Game Pass with its Project xCloud game streaming technology later this year, which should really help the subscription service to remain the best value on the market.
