EA sold 925,000 copies of Titanfall in March, signs new publishing agreement with Respawn

Electronics Arts has sold 925,000 copies of popular multiplayer shooting game, Titanfall, in the United States during the month of March. Peter Moore, EA’s COO said, “It [Titanfall] landed phenomenally well” during an investor call.

What’s even cooler is that Titanfall was launched on the Xbox One and Windows PC on March 11th, which means that it sold 925,000 copies in just three weeks. The sales figure describes only the retail copies of the title and does not account for digital copies which were sold through Xbox Live and Origin. The game arrived on Xbox 360 on April 8, and is “off to a great start as well” said Moore.

“Our goal, quite frankly, is to keep this series as fresh as we do with our (FIFA) Ultimate Team and our Sports and what we’ve done with Battlefield obviously with Premium,” he added. “Hopefully we can continue to drive this franchise forward.”

At the investor call, Andrew Wilson, CEO of EA, said that the company has signed a new publishing agreement with Titanfall developer Respawn Entertainment through which it will be “working with Respawn to bring new Titanfall experiences to players worldwide.”
