‘Duet Display’ can turn your iPad into an extra PC screen

It has become somewhat cliché to say “there’s an app for that”, yet that is now something that those who seek an extra screen for their Windows PC and own an iPad can say.

“Duet Display”, created by Rahul Dewan (an ex-Apple engineer) and available for $9.99 (£7.99), through the use of display drivers, allows an iPad to be hooked up to a PC or Mac and act as a second display. This can either be done wirelessly or with a wired connection to eliminate any potential lag, as shown on TechCrunch.

The benefits of this are quite easy to see. Working with two displays is something that many opt to do in their professional lives, however the inherent costs of buying an extra display can put many off. This is a relatively simple and cheap option that will no doubt enjoy some traction.
