Downloadable games for Windows 8 revealed, will be available via Windows Store

As we inch closer and closer to the highly anticipated Windows 8 Consumer Preview (Beta), new information and leaked screenshots are revealing more and more about Microsoft’s upcoming operating system. Today, we learn about several new games that will be available via the Windows Store during launch.

A new report suggests that Microsoft is planning on offering several downloadable games for Windows 8 Consumer Preview, via the Windows Store.

The games are available as optional downloads and include Hydro Thunder, Toy Soldiers, Reckless Racing, Angry Birds, Ilomilo, Rocket Riot, Full House Poker, Tentacles, Crash Course, Ms Splosion Man, and Wordament. Pinball and Solitare are reported to be pre-installed in the Consumer Preview.

The road to Windows 8 Consumer Preview’s (Beta) release is getting closer and closer. New images from the Windows 8 Consumer Preview (Beta) build were leaked recently showcasing a few new things as well as giving beta testers a little taste of whats to come.
