The Delicious Last Course, the upcoming DLC for the gorgeous-looking run and gun game Cuphead has been delayed to 2020, developer Studio MDHR revealed today. The additional content that expected to ship later this year, but the indie developer will use the additional time to make sure that the DLC meets its high standards.

While we initially announced a 2019 release date for the Delicious Last Course expansion, our highest priority is making sure this new adventure meets the meticulous level of care and quality we always strive for,” wrote Chad Moldenhauer, Co-Director, Studio MDHR on Xbox Wire. “We want to be absolutely certain that this next adventure feels at home in the world of Cuphead and is full of moments that surprise and delight players. Furthermore, the development of the original game taught us a great deal about the importance of making things in a way that’s healthy and sustainable for our team.”

the Delicious Last Course expansion will introduce a lovely new playable character named Ms. Chalice, who will have her own set of skills such as double jump. The DLC will also introduce a brand new isle with additional levels, bosses, weapons and charms. A new trailer for the expansion has been released today, and you can watch it below.

Cuphead received a free content update in April that made Mugman a playable character, added additional languages, and reduced load times.
