If you’re on a Windows 10 Mobile Insider device on the fast ring, you’ll be seeing a small configuration update rolling out soon. This news comes straight from the horse’s mouth if the horse is Microsoft’s King of the Big Red Button Gabe Aul. Here it is, via Twitter:
1/ Today we are rolling out a Configuration Update to the Windows 10 Mobile Insider devices in the Fast ring.

2/ This update prepares devices to receive the next cumulative updates, as well as improvements to the client-side update experience.

Apparently, this Configuration Update simply prepares Insider devices to receive the next cumulative updates, as well as offers unnamed improvements to the update experience.
