As Minecraft Dungeons is about to celebrate its first anniversary later this month, the game is finally getting cloud saves support on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. The latest update released today on May 5 lets players upload their local saves to the cloud to access them on other platforms.
If you created multiple Minecraft Dungeons heroes on different platforms, you’ll have to upload all of them to the cloud manually. “Upload” and “Download” options have been added to the “Switch Hero” menu, and you’ll also need to manually download from the cloud any character you want to use on your platform of choice.
If the process isn’t exactly seamless, cloud saves have been a top-requested feature since the launch of Minecraft Dungeons and it’s good to finally have them. Minecraft Dungeons previously added support for crossplay multiplayer back in November, and the dungeon crawler was also optimized for Microsoft’s Xbox Series X|S consoles in February.
If you have yet to try it, Minecraft Dungeons is free to play with Xbox Game Pass for Console and PC. The dungeon crawler is also available on Xbox Cloud Gaming with support for touch controls, and it works really well on mobile devices.
