Choose your side at the Feb 9th midnight launch party for Evolve on the Xbox One

If there was ever an excuse to stay up late on a Monday night, Major Nelson and the Xbox team just nailed it. In celebration of the hunter/monster game Evolve for Xbox One, the Xbox team will be taking over the Microsoft Store at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa and turning it into Evolve-themed party central. The event will kick off Monday February 9th at 9PM with appearances from Major Nelson himself and other special guests.  Alongside Major Nelson, attendees will have a chance to meet the Evolve development team from Turtle Rock Studios, who will be hosting a live Q&A as well as signing exclusive Evolve artwork.

The first 150 fans who pick up their copy of Evolve for the Xbox at the Microsoft Store at South Coast will also have the chance to receive even more exclusives via “swag bags”. The bags include exclusive Evolve poster, LED glasses, and a neoprene case. For the rest who pre-order Evolve in store that day, they will receive a $10 gift card at pickup. Other giveaways include store raffles for an Xbox One, Xbox Music cards, and Xbox One controllers.  At 20:01AM, customers can pick up their pre-ordered copy of Evolve and continue to play the game at home.

Aside from the food, atmosphere and exclusive prizes, fans will be able to get hands on with the game for hours against other fans, the Evolve team, and Major Nelson himself.

Evolve is a 3rd person asymmetrical multiplayer from the makers of Left 4 Dead. This man vs creature game is where a player can choose to be part of a four player controlled group called Hunters against alien monsters or an alien monster group against the group of Hunters. Game modes in this next generation multiplayer player epic include Hunt, Nest, Rescue, and Defend, all of which will take strategy, teamwork, and creativity to stay alive, let alone succeed.

For those of you looking to join in on the festivities, the Microsoft Store at South Coast Plaza is located at 333 Bristol Street, Suite 1249 Costa Mesa, CA. 92626. Other details and information can be found at the events Facebook page, Instagram, or Twitter.
