Check out the breathtaking new cinematics of Halo 2 Anniversary

Every few years or so, we get a video game that blows everything else out of the water in terms of graphic eye candy. While that’s more the case with PC games, the same sometimes holds true on consoles. It’s an entirely different story though, when the developers of a game go back and enhance the old, pixelated graphics of a game and bring them up to today’s standards, as has been done with Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

Ten years later, Microsoft has taken matters a step further with Halo 2 by having the cinematics (including cut screens presumably) redone with the help of the visual effects experts over at Blur Studios. Check out how the new cinematics look in the Halo 2 Anniversary launch trailer below.

Excited? Well then you can also look forward to the world premiere of Halo: Nightfall. Graphics can’t get any better than watching a live-action TV show. The first episode of Nightfall premieres on the HaloFest Live Broadcast, along with a first look at Halo 5: Guardians. You can catch the live stream on Xbox Live, Xbox.com, and Twitch at 8PM Pacific on November 8th. Don’t worry, we’ll be sure to remind you to tune in as the date and time nears.
