CES 2017: ASUS unveils ZenBook 3 and refreshed Kaby Lake ROG laptops

Earlier in this week we reported on ASUS’ VR Ready VivoPC X compact desktop, and other new Kaby Lake Windows 10 devices. Today the cat has got out of the bag and ASUS has lifted the veils on more of it’s Windows 10 devices, including the brand new ZenBook 3 and refreshed Kaby Lake ROG (Republic of Gamers) laptops (via Windows Central.)

Available in May for $1,699, The ZenBook 3 Deluxe is the first of the new ASUS Windows 10 devices. With 1 TB of SSD storage, This device is powered by Intel’s Core i7-7500U processor, 16GB of RAM. Weighing in at 2.42 pounds,  it also features a 14-inch display and 3 USB C ports, two which are for Thunderbolt 3. There are two color options available for the new device, and you can choose from either “royal blue” or “quartz grey.”

Next up are a series of refreshed ROG laptops. Though nothing much has changed on the devices, ASUS has updated several of these devices with the 7th generation Kaby Lake chips. The only notable difference in the lineup is the option for a 120HZ display on the ROG GL502, GL702, and G752.  Updated models with Kaby Lake Chips include:

  • GX800VH
  • G701VI
  • G752VS
  • ROG Strix
  • GL502/702
  • GL553/753

When it comes to availability, the Kaby Lake powered GL553, GL753, and GL502 are now available.
