Several new tidbits of “information”—or more accurately, rumors—are making the rounds concerning the next title in the Call of Duty series. At this point, the next CoD installment doesn’t have an official title, and is commonly referred to as “Call of Duty 2024.”

The first bit of news pertains to a leak suggesting the game will be set during the 1990-1991 Gulf War which occurred following Iraq’s invasion of Kuwait. This from a social media post from actor Luke Charles Stafford mentioning the main character for the next CoD will be named Ratcliffe. This seems to reference British soldier Peter Ratcliffe, who received the Distinguished Conduct Medal for gallantry during the Gulf War.

Apparently Ratcliffe will be modeled after the actor, who is best known for his appearances in several Lifetime movies. Stafford is also a singer/songwriter with his single “Still Missing You,” and has also worked on Broadway.

Nicki Minaj Stars in 'Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II' Trailer: Watch – Billboard

The next Call of Duty 2024 rumor is a bit more out there, but it’s being widely reported nonetheless. And that is that none other than Nicki Minaj will be a playable character in the game. Minaj will reportedly be accompanied by rapper 21 Savage in the game as well. It wouldn’t be the first time the franchise has collaborated in such a way with figures from the entertainment industry.

Call of Duty 2024 will be developed by Treyarch Studios, and is believed to be coming in the fall of 2024.
