New Bing apps for Windows Phone roll out; Finance, News, Sports and Weather receive updates

Not too long ago, Microsoft rolled out updates for Bing suite of apps on Windows 8.1, but it seems it’s not just Windows 8.1, the similar apps available for Windows Phone were bumped as well. The Bing suite of apps include Bing Finance, Bing Food and Drink, Bing News, Bing Sports, Bing Travel, Bing Weather, and Bing Health and Fitness.

The latest update to Finance, News, Sports and Weather adds Microsoft account integration, giving users the ability to login with their Microsoft account on Bing suite of apps and synchronize their data across multiple devices on the Windows platform, whether it’s your Windows Phone, desktop or any tablet for that matter. The updated apps also bring sharing options, giving users the ability to share from the apps via email, social networks or message.

“Bing is releasing a comprehensive update to the existing Bing apps for Windows Phone (Finance, News, Sports and Weather) that enables roaming across the Windows family of devices. Now, the personalized Bing apps preferences and settings associated with your Microsoft Account will seamlessly sync across your PC, tablet, and Windows Phone for all seven Bing apps,” Microsoft stated in an email to WinBeta.

Now you can sync between Windows Phone and Windows 8.1

Last but not the least, Bing Food & Drink, Bing Health & Fitness, and Bing Travel are no longer in beta stages. Food & Drink features more than 600,000 recipes, an extensive wine guide on 1.5 million bottles of wine, as well as one-click “add to shopping list” that syncs between Windows Phone and Windows 8.1.

The Bing Health & Fitness app lets you browse more than 1,000 exercise and workout videos, a nutritional and medical reference, and trackers for diet and cardio to help people meet wellness goals. Bing Travel lets you book flights and hotels, find nearby attractions, get trip ideas and explore more than 2,000 destinations through beautiful photos and panoramas.

Head over to the Windows Phone Store and grab the updated Bing apps. You can also head over to the official Bing Blog to check out the update details.
